The Final Bow
The Final Bow

The membership of California Coastal Rose Society extends a warm welcome to you! The CCRS 16th Annual Rare and Unusual Rose Plant Auction will take place on Friday evening November 11th, Saturday November 12th and Sunday November 13th in Oceanside, CA 92056 at the 'QLN Conference Center' (located at 1938 Avenida del Oro). We will offer between 275 and 300 plants, the majority of which are rare, unusual, not yet in commerce or no longer in commerce.

The event kicks off with a 6:00 PM-7:30 PM Friday night Mixer open to everybody. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and chat with others interested in preserving rose genetics by saving rare plants.

The Friday Mixer will be followed by a 1:30 PM-6:30 PM Saturday afternoon Power-Point illustrated discussion of plants offered in the SILENT BID portion of the Auction (free refreshments provided).

Saturday November 12th Power Point Schedule:

The actual Auction is held on Sunday. Additional Bidders will join us in the morning. All will have time to examine the plants more closely, discuss them with friends and other local experts who can offer more personally directed advice on them. The SILENT AUCTION will start at 10:00 AM end at noon. The LIVE AUCTION will start at 1:30 PM and end at 3:30 PM. John Bagnasco, the driving force behind our campaign to SAVE THE ROSES and the Auction, will have a Power-Point presentation of the 40-45 plants in the LIVE Auction. These plants are the most rare and unusual of the lot. Same rules apply: the Bidders may offer questions or comments on the plants as they are offered. Frequently the Hybridizer is present to do so as well.

Payment is by credit card, check or cash at time of checkout.

Plants To Be Auctioned

On rare occasions, some of the plants offered on the list may not be available at the Auction due to circumstances beyond our control. More frequently, we add exciting offerings in the weeks just before the Auction so do check the 'Silent Auction' list, as well as the 'Live Auction' list, more than once.
